Annie is a seasoned Product and Engineering Leader currently serving as VP of Engineering at Imprint, where she founded the AI engineering organization. Her org sits at the center of Imprint’s shift to an AI-first fintech, and much of what she writes here comes from the live experience of embedding AI across how a company builds products, makes decisions, and scales teams.

Before Imprint, Annie led engineering at Meta (bringing back the magic of Facebook Friends across product, infrastructure, and ML) and spent seven years as a Director of Engineering & Product at Square/Block, running the foundational platforms that all business units (CashApp, Square, Tidal) depended on everyday. Her career spans hyper-growth startups and industry giants alike, including Dropbox, Amazon, Lumosity, and Supermicro, along with founding companies and angel investing.

Across those roles, she’s worked inside every flavor of org structure: functional to pod-based, engineering-led to sales-led. Annie is passionate about exploring how leadership principles shape effective, collaborative, and adaptable organizations, and she writes about it through the lens of her ABCs of Engineering Leadership: Adapt, Build Trust, and Communicate Effectively, the principles she uses to drive impactful product development and foster high-performing teams.
